Noun and Types of Noun

Noun:

It is a word used as the name of person, place or thing.

Kinds of Nouns

Proper noun:

It is name of some particular person or place.  

Examples:

Saima ,Ali and Pakistan etc. 

1 Jane is very intelligent.

2 David lives in Europe. 

3 Pakistan is a beautiful country. 

The first letter of proper noun is always capitalized. 

Common noun:

It is name given in common to every person or thing of the same class or kind.

Examples:

Boy, girl and chair etc. 

Collective noun:

It is name of number(or collection)of person or thing taken together and spoken of as one whole;as,

Examples:

Crowd, army and flock etc. 

Abstract noun:

It is usually the name of quality, action, or state considered apart from the object to which it belongs;as

Examples:

Wisdom,honesty and happiness 

Countable noun:

They are the names of objects, people, etc that we can count.

Examples:

Pen, book and tables 

Uncountable noun:

They are the names of objects, things, which we can't count .

Examples:

Milk, oil and sugar.
