Future Perfect Continue Tense 

The Future Perfect Continuous Tense also called Future Perfect Progressive Tense. This  tense  is used to describe an action that will continue up to a certain point in the future.


🔹 Structure:

Subject + will have been + verb ( ing) + object + (time reference)


🔹 Examples:

  1. I will have been reading  a novel for two  hours by the time you arrive.

 





The Future Perfect Continuous Tense (also called Future Perfect Progressive) is used to describe an action that will continue up to a certain point in the future.


🔹 Structure:

Subject + will have been + verb ( 1) ing) + object + (time reference)


🔹 Examples:

  1. I will have been studying for three hours by the time you arrive.
  2. She will have been teaching  at this school for five years next month.
  3. They will have been waiting for us since morning.
  4. We will have been living in Gilgit for two years by 2026.

🔹 Usage:

Use this tense to show:

  1. Duration of an ongoing action up to a future point.

    Example: By next March, I will have been teaching for 19 years.

  2. To emphasize how long something will have been happening before another future event.

    Example: When you call me, I will have been playing  for two hours.


🔹 Common Time Expressions:

  • By the time
  • For + (time period)
  • Since + ( exact time or starting point)
  • By next week/month/year
  • Before + (future time)
